Darcy PAQUET
Originally from Massachusetts, Darcy Paquet has been living in Seoul since 1997. He first became active in the film industry as a journalist, launching the website Koreanfilm.org in 1999 and working as a reporter for Screen International and later Variety. He has written columns for the Korean film weekly Cine21, web portal Daum.net, and the Hankook Ilbo newspaper. He is the author of New Korean Cinema: Breaking the Waves (2010, Columbia University Press), and over the past decade he has taught film classes at Kyunghee University, the Graduate School of International Studies at Korea University, and at Korea University’s International Summer Campus. He also works as a Program Consultant for the Udine Far East Film Festival.
Darcy has translated the subtitles for a wide range of Korean films including Bong Joon Ho's Parasite (2019), Park Chanwook’s The Handmaiden (2016), Kim Jeewoon’s The Age of Shadows (2016) and Hong Sangsoo’s On the Beach at Night Alone (2017). He has also occasionally appeared as a supporting actor in films like Im Sangsoo’s The Taste of Money (2012) and the TV drama 3 Days (2014). In 2014 he co-launched the Wildflower Film Awards Korea, an annual awards ceremony recognizing achievement in Korea’s independent film sector. -
Jenna KU
Jenna Ku is a producer based in Seoul, Korea. She majored sociology and got her MA in film at Chung-Ang University Graduate School, Seoul, Korea. She entered the field of film business as she co-founded INDIESTORY (www.indiestory.com), a distribution company for Korean independent films. She built up her career as a producer in investment/distribution companies such as Korea Pictures and Core Studio and production companies such as Realise Pictures and Boim Pictures.
As a freelancer producer she produced Penny Pinchers (2011), The Running Actress (2017), Little Forest (2018). In 2016 she founded VOL Media, a film and other media production company based in Seoul and produced several feature films by now. The Table (2016) premiered at Busan International Film Festival in 2016 and well received by the audience and critics and <Shades of the Heart>(2019) was premiered at Jeonju International film festival. In 2020 she produced the film, <Josée>, and which was released in 2020. Recently she’s producing a new film <Brave Coward> base on Korean webtoon. -
HAN Sunhee
Han Sunhee is a producer and director of Plain Pictures and has been working in the Korean film industry since 1999. Her career as film producer started with the feature-length documentary “Talking Architect” (2011), followed by “Manshin: Ten Thousand Spirits” (2013) and “The Basement Satellite” (2013), which were critically acclaimed and theatrically released nationwide. She also produced TV documentaries “Shaman of the Sea”(2012) for Discovery Channel Asia-Pacific Network, and “The Mastor Tailer”(2015) for MBC-TV, as well as 3 channel video installation artwork “Citizens’ Forest”(2016) for Taipei Biennial. Her directorial debut feature documentary “Old Days”(2016) was officially invited to Jeonju Int’l Film Festival and Udine Far East Film Festival among others. She also contributed to industry research projects for the Korean Film Council and the Korean Film Archive, and has been working for AFIS since 2016 as a founding faculty member.
Currently, she is producing several narrative fiction projects including “The Final Print” and “Winter Worm, Summer Grass”, which were awarded at the Asian Project Market of BIFF in 2018 and 2019 respectively. Particularly, “The Final Print” was invited to the Ties That Bind Asia-Europe Co-production Workshop (Italy-Singapore) and to the IFP Project Forum No Borders (U.S.A.) in 2019. Then she created and produced a narrative short film “Camp Page: Honest John”(2020), which was invited to the Seoul Independent Film Festival. In 2021, her new narrative feature project “Camp Page” was invited to the Project Spotlight at NAFF of Bucheon Int’l Fantastic Film Festival. She is an alumna of Rotterdam Producer’s Lab (2012), and a member producer of Producers Guild of Korea and the European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs. -
LEE Hojae
Lee Hojae is writer and director of feature film in South Korea. In his 20’s, he worked as assistant director and producer in advertising field. In 2003, he got his BFA (film) at Artcener College of Design, Pasadena, USA. His first directorial debut was a white collar black comedy, The Scam (2009). He recognised as the Best New Director of the year from Dae Jong Film Awards and Baeksang Arts Awards following year. He also lectured directing and screen-writing at Hong-Ik university and Kyung-Hee University for 3 years. In 2016, his second feature film, Robot Sori: Voice from Heart was released. The Film got a Viewer’s Chose Award at Far East Film Festival, Udine, Italy.
Hojae has expanded his film making career into TV and directed a TV movie, Good-Bye my Life Insurance (2018). He is working on his third feature film with F&C Story which is a subsidiary of F&C Entertainment. -
BANG Junwon
Bang Junwon is a filmmaker based in Seoul and New York. He earned multiple degrees in film production and performing arts, including an MFA in Film directing and screenwriting from Columbia University. He worked on numerous film productions to gain hands-on experience as a filmmaker. His work has received multiple awards and was invited to international film festivals around the globe. His Film, "Wianbu - Comfort Woman," won the East Coast Regionals and was nominated as a national finalist at the 35th Student Academy Awards (Oscars ®). Junwon teaches screenwriting and film production at The New School in New York City. He recently published a book titled "Script Analysis, Deconstructing Screenplay Fundamentals" with Focal Press - Routledge in London and New York.

Han Soonho
Soonho Han is a film marketer, professor, and PhD in cultural content industry.
He worked for home video entertainment at SKC in the 1980s, where he was in charge of movie acquisition, distribution, and marketing, and distributed more than 1000 home video titles.
From 1992, he worked for Warner Bros. Korea, US major studio, and marketed about 250 movies for more than 20 years. Some of his representative works include <Harry Potter>, <The Matrix>, <Inception>, <300>, <The Dark Knight>, <The Conjuring> and <Gravity>.
He lectures on entertainment industry and film marketing at universities such as Konkuk University, Chung-Ang University, and Dongguk University, and serves as a member of the Korea Media Rating Board.
He published a book on film marketing titled "All About Movie Marketing" and wrote papers on "Brand Marketing Strategy of Harry Potter movies" and "Brand Identity of Marvel Superhero Movies" -
Aditya Assarat
Aditya Assarat is a filmmaker from Thailand. He studied filmmaking at the University of Southern California (USC) with further training at the Sundance Director’s Lab and the Rolex Mentor & Protégés Arts Initiative. His feature films include Hi-So and Wonderful Town, which won the Tiger Award from Rotterdam and the New Currents Award from Busan. Besides his own films, Aditya is the producer of other well-known Thai independent films from younger directors such as Eternity by Sivaroj Kongsakul, which also won the Tiger Award from Rotterdam, Mary is Happy. Mary is Happy by Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit, which premiered in Venice, and W by Chonlasit Upanigkit, which premiered in Busan. His most recent film Ten Years Thailand, which he produced and co-directed, premiered in Cannes. Finally, Aditya is also the director of Purin Pictures, a non-profit foundation supporting independent cinema in Southeast Asia.
